We place backfill and shape grade with the full-size excavator and bring in fill and crushed rock by the 10-yard dump truck load. Compacting in lifts, rather than dumping and hoping, is what gives you a surface that holds up under a foundation or a driveway.

Why is soil compaction important for a foundation?

Loose or poorly compacted fill settles unevenly over time, and a foundation built on it can crack or shift. Compacting the soil in lifts to the right density gives the structure a stable base and prevents costly settlement problems down the road.

Can you fix a yard or site that holds water?

Often, yes. Standing water usually comes down to grade and drainage. We can reshape the surface, cut swales, and build the slope needed to carry water away from your buildings and low spots.

Do you bring in fill and rock, or just move what is on site?

Both. When the on-site soil works we reuse it to save you money. When you need clean fill or crushed rock, we haul it in by the full truckload and place it where it goes.
